Head of Sales - Wellington

Method are the makers of beautiful office recycling bins, designed and manufactured in New Zealand. Our waste solution can be found around the world, in some of the most influential facilities including; Foster + Partners, Qantas, the Sydney Cricket Ground, a thought-leading large facility in New York and many more.

A team of salespeople, designers, operators and marketers – we are growing fast, predominantly based in Wellington, but moving quickly into international markets; we now have 4 offices around the world. Job Description

We continue to grow and reach new sales records, making this an exciting opportunity for a strong leader to join our team. As a part of our leadership team, you will have the exciting opportunity to grow the sales team and coach them to meet greater sales targets while helping to develop the strategic future of our business.

In this varied role, you will:

  • Coach and inspire the sales staff as a unified team
  • Hire and manage the sales teams in all territories currently Wellington, Auckland, Sydney and London
  • Manage the Method sales machine - Forecast sales revenues and coach BDMs to meet goals .
  • Contribute to the strategic future of the business as part of the leadership team
  • Map the customer journey and build the sales process
  • Work with marketing to generate leads to feed into the method sales machine
  • Work with support and operations to ensure systems are aligned
  • Manage and develop sales tools
  • Plan tradeshows and events and attend where required
  • Manage sales channel partners - resellers, specifiers and service providers

More about Method

Method’s award-winning bins came from years of research and continuous design by co-founders Steven and India Korner. With backgrounds in product and graphic design, engineering, and the world of commercial leasing they saw an industry that needed reimagining.

The Korners believed that redesigning office recycling bins would change the way we recycle at work, and it did. Method has transformed the way organisations recycle pioneering the concept of ‘open plan recycling.’ We estimate that in FY2018 we empowered our customers to divert 37 million kilos of waste from landfill.
