No-prep supermarket waste reduction tips

Supermarket Cheat Sheet

The environmental challenges ahead of us can feel insurmountable, particularly as individuals. I spend a lot of my time as a Method employee researching and learning about recycling and sustainability but there is always more to learn. So for your average Joe Blogs, this can feel impossible. While the zero waste movement is important and we in no way want to discount that, we firmly believe you don’t have to be perfect to have an impact.

As the saying goes, change doesn’t come from one person doing it correctly, but rather lots of people doing it imperfectly.

We know that refilleries are one of the best ways to reduce the waste you create, and if you’re able to do that fantastic. But for many people that’s untenable for various reasons, so we’ve compiled a supermarket cheat sheet. This is a list of small, simple changes that you can make to reduce your impact when you’re already at your local supermarket. No preparation needed.

So, we encourage you to save this image to your phone for next time you’re in the supermarket and start making changes!
