Beautiful Recycling Bins for Architects + Designers

Design is at the core of Methods values, we believe recycling should be beautiful and out in the open plan design of modern spaces. The colour-coded bins are beautiful and effective at helping users sort waste at a glance. The bins can be used to create flexible recycling stations to meet the needs of your facility, and placed where they will be best utilised, such as an organics bin in the kitchen.

Architects and designers spend a lot of time creating beautiful, cohesive spaces, however bins are often an afterthought, or hidden away in cupboards. Methods signature 60L Office Recycling Bins are designed to fit modern aesthetics, so they can be out in the open where they are most effective, with a sleek finish thanks to the patented Bag Retainer System.

Method bins were admired by world renowned UK Architecture Firm Foster + Partners, and we delivered Method bins to them in March 2018 for their office.

Method was founded by husband and wife team Steven and India Korner when they were driving around New Zealand selling generic bins out of the back of a van. "We consistently saw beautiful spaces with ugly bins hidden away where they are ineffective, building design has come a long way and recycling in the workplace needed to be modernised."

Method pioneered the concept of Open Plan Recycling, bringing the recycling stations out in the open, changing the way people interact with waste. Visible recycling bins reinforce accountability, which Method found is a key component for progress. They also become a visible commitment to an organisation's commitment to sustainability.

Method have found continued industry attention as their innovative bins change recycling behaviours around the world. Including 3 best design awards from the Designers Institute of New Zealand for the bins, packaging and new website.

Method's award-winning office recycling bins can be found in facilities around the world. Including the Sydney Cricket Ground, University of Melbourne, Qantas, the Design Council (UK) and many more.
