Real time waste data
InSight data is updated every hour, so you can access waste data that's accurate within 100 grams at the click of a button.
Automatic data collection
With a sensor under each bin, InSight provides you with the most accurate and timely waste data at all times with no manual handling.
Analyse & report across all of your locations
InSight provides data on each bin, so you can collect and analyse data in the way that best suits your business - by station, office, level, city or country.
NABERS Waste and Green Star Certified Data
InSight data is certified for the NABERS waste certification and is especially helpful for offices in shared buildings where accessing waste data can be difficult.
Our Purpose
Our Goal
We’re on a mission to enable organisations to divert one billion kilograms of waste from landfills by 2030. Read more about our goal here.
A Certified B Corp
B Corps are businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Learn more about Method's Journey here.
Our Design Story
In 2011, Steven and India Korner noticed organisations cared about waste, but didn't have the tools to be successful. Learn about Method's journey to redesign recycling here.
The Method Bin Lifecycle
Waste is the problem and design is our weapon - especially given that 80% of a product's impact is decided at the design stage. Recycling is an important tool in a circular economy, but manufacturers need to consider the full lifecycle of a product and its materials. We aim to lead by example with our behaviour-changing bins.
RECYCLED MATERIALS
Designed and made in New Zealand, Method bins are made from 50 - 80% post-consumer and post-industrial recycled materials from Whanganui and Christchurch.
5-YEAR WARRANTY
We believe good, sustainable design should last so we back our words with a 5-year warranty for our bins, learn more here.
BIN RETURN PROGRAM
If you no longer need your Method bins, we take them back. If they still have life in them we refurbish them and donate them to local charities or manage end of life recycling locally.

OUR DESIGN STORYBrands We Work With
How the Australian National Maritime Museum reduced waste to landfill by 63%
“Method went above and beyond what anyone would expect from a company that sells bins and it was this passion that made the decision for the museum. It was clear that there was a strong alignment in values between the two organisations.”
Adrian Snelling, Australian National Maritime Museum.
Bins with brains: Microsoft’s Method to achieve zero waste
“We know we still have a long way to go to reach our zero waste target, but this has given us the tools to get there. We now have the means to educate all our people on how, individually, they can make a difference to our organisation and our planet.”
Roseann O’Hare, Microsoft ANZ Sustainability Lead.
First in class Recycling System by McConnell Dowell
"Working with a company like Method has been a game-changer in helping raise the quality of recycling. It’s been a successful collaboration leading to a tailored recycling system which, if required, can be adjusted over time."
