Inventory & Logistics Controller - Wellington

In the three years since our launch, we have grown to a team of 15. Moreover, we estimate that in FY2018 we empowered our customers to divert 37 million kg of waste from landfill.

Job Description

It’s an amazing time to join Method as we continue to scale up. We’re searching for a Inventory + Logistics Controller to help us deliver world-class products to our customers and drive sales as we expand at an exciting rate into international markets.

In this varied role, you will:

  • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock
  • Enter purchase details into internal systems
  • Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
  • Coordinate and track (Air + Sea) shipments and address any delays
  • Coordinate regular inventory audits
  • Keep updated inventory and logistics records
  • Manage 3PL relationship to ensure business standards and goals are met
  • Ensure purchases do not exceed budget
  • Report to the leadership team on stock levels, issues etc
  • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures

More about you

We’d like you to have the following:

  • Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Good knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. Unleashed or TradeGecko)
  • Actively participated in inventory audits
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with management of inventory and logistics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyse data and make data driven decisions
  • Great attention to detail, however you also see the big picture.
  • Exceptional organisation and planning skills, and the ability to monitor and adjust priorities on an ongoing basis.
  • The ability to identify issues and opportunities, and develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Tech-savvy – ability to learn fast and adapt to new tools
  • Grit – ability to stay calm and focussed in a dynamic environment
